Knowledge and Revelation

Scripture: Hosea 4:6 · Ephesians 1:17

In the teaching line of Apostle Joshua Selman on revelation.

Reflection

Hosea says his people perish for lack of knowledge. Not for lack of faith, not for lack of effort — knowledge. And Paul prays for the Ephesians that God would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

There are things prayer will not fix because they are not a prayer problem; they are an ignorance problem. You can pray all night over something you simply need to learn.

Ask God for revelation. Then go and study. Those two are not rivals.

Prayer

Father, give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know you better. And give me the humility to learn what I do not know, instead of praying over it year after year. Show me where my ignorance is costing me. Open the eyes of my understanding. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I ask for revelation and I go and learn — both.

Falling Is Not Staying Down

Scripture: Proverbs 24:16

In the teaching line of John Maxwell on failure.

Reflection

Proverbs says the righteous falls seven times and rises again. Read it carefully — it does not say the righteous never falls. It says he rises.

The difference between the righteous and the wicked here is not the falling. It is the rising. That should set you free: God never asked you to be faultless; he asks you not to stay down.

Count your falls if you must — but count your risings too.

Prayer

Father, I have fallen again, and you know it. Keep me from lying there arguing with myself. Give me strength to rise today — not tomorrow, not when I feel worthy of it. I am not asking for a life without falling; I am asking for a heart that does not give up. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I fell — but I am not staying down.

October 26, 2026Redeeming the Time

Redeeming the Time

Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16

In the teaching line of Myles Munroe on discipline and time.

Reflection

Paul says to walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. "Redeem" is a marketplace word — you buy back something you were losing.

Time is not lost in large blocks. It leaks — in minutes, in screens, in conversations that lead nowhere. Nobody decides to waste a year; a year is wasted one hour at a time.

Look at yesterday honestly. Where did the hours actually go? Buy one of them back today.

Prayer

Lord, give me eyes to see where my time is leaking. I am not asking for a longer day; I am asking for a more faithful one. Show me one thing to stop today, and give me the discipline to actually stop it. Let every hour in my hands serve what you called me to. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I will not waste today — I am buying it back.

October 25, 2026A Living Sacrifice

A Living Sacrifice

Scripture: Romans 12:1

In the teaching line of Oswald Chambers on total surrender.

Reflection

Paul asks that the body become a living sacrifice. Here is the strange part: a living sacrifice can climb back off the altar. That is the whole difficulty. A dead sacrifice stays where it is put. A living one must choose, every morning, to stay.

That is why surrender is not an event; it is a decision you repeat. That is what makes it hard, and that is what makes it real.

Today, do not ask what great thing to give God. Ask what small thing you keep taking back from him.

Prayer

Lord, I climb back onto the altar today. You know how many times I have climbed off. Give me grace to stay — not for a solemn day, but for this ordinary one. Take the thing I keep taking back. I do not belong to myself; I belong to you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I climb back onto the altar today — and I am staying.

October 24, 2026God Near the Broken

God Near the Broken

Scripture: Psalm 34:18

In the teaching line of Charles Spurgeon on comfort in trial.

Reflection

The psalm says the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed. Notice where God places himself — not above the broken one, judging. Beside him.

We often think our brokenness pushes God away. The verse says exactly the opposite: it is the very thing that draws him close. The person with nothing left to defend is the easiest for God to reach.

If today you are at the end of something, you are not far from him. You may be nearer than you have ever been.

Prayer

Father, I do not always have the strength to stand before you. Today I come as I am — broken, tired, without answers. Thank you for not asking me to be ready before I come. Come close. Hold me until I can stand again. And if I cannot stand today, sit with me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

My heart is broken, but that is where God is nearest.

Faith That Acts

Scripture: Mark 11:22-24

In the teaching line of Smith Wigglesworth on faith.

Reflection

Jesus tells them to have faith in God, and then immediately describes something strange: speak to the mountain. He does not say pray about the mountain. He says speak TO it. And he adds: believe that what you say has already happened.

Most of our faith is seated faith. We wait, we hope. Biblical faith does something. It speaks, it moves, it acts before it sees.

That does not mean denying the mountain. It means you stop talking to God about the mountain and start talking to the mountain about God. Today, name one mountain. Say one thing to it out loud. And take one step as if the answer had already come.

Prayer

Lord, deliver me from a faith that only speaks inside my head. Give me courage to open my mouth and to act on your word, even when I see nothing changing yet. I do not want a faith that waits; I want a faith that walks. Make your word more real in me than what my eyes can see. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

My faith is not seated — it speaks and it acts.

October 11, 2026The People Who Walk With You

The People Who Walk With You

Scripture: Proverbs 13:20

In the teaching line of John Maxwell on the people around you.

Reflection

Proverbs says the one who walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm.

Notice what the verse actually says. It does not say you will agree with them. It does not say you will learn from them. It says you will become like them. Proximity transfers, whether we intend it or not.

Look at your five closest relationships. They are a preview of where you will be in five years. This does not mean despising anyone — but not everyone can go where you are going. Some people have to be loved from a distance.

Prayer

Lord, give me wisdom in choosing those closest to me. Put in my path the ones who push me nearer to you, and give me courage to set distance where distance is needed — without contempt, without pride. Make me someone who makes others better too. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I choose who walks with me — because they are who I will become.

October 10, 2026What Is Built in the Field

What Is Built in the Field

Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:11-13

In the teaching line of T.D. Jakes on the hidden season.

Reflection

Samuel came to choose a king. Jesse paraded seven sons before the prophet and left David in the field with the sheep. The future king was the one nobody had even thought to call in.

But those years in the field were not wasted. That is where he learned to defend a flock against a lion — the fight that prepared him for Goliath. That is where he wrote psalms — words that still comfort the world today.

If you are in a place where nobody sees you, do not waste it. The hidden season is not a punishment; it is a workshop. God is building there what the platform will demand.

Prayer

Father, if I am in a season where nobody speaks my name, give me grace to serve well in it. Keep me from chasing the spotlight before my character can carry it. Build in me, in the field, what will hold me up on the mountain. I am willing to wait until you call me in. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

The hidden season is not wasted — it is where God builds what will carry me tomorrow.

October 9, 2026Faithful in the Small Things

Faithful in the Small Things

Scripture: Luke 16:10

In the teaching line of Dag Heward-Mills on faithfulness.

Reflection

Jesus says the one who is faithful in the smallest things is faithful in the great ones too. He does not say the one with the most talent, or the one who is most visible. He says the one who is faithful.

God does not promote on talent; he promotes on faithfulness. The small assignment is the job interview for the large one. While you ask God for a wide platform, he is watching how you handle what is already in your hand.

The person who despises the small task will stay in the small task. How you handle what nobody sees decides what everybody will see.

Prayer

Lord, make me faithful in what is small. Keep me from despising work because few people are watching. Let me give the hidden task the same care as the public one. If you cannot trust me with little, do not give me much. Prepare me in the small things. In Jesus' name. Amen.

How I handle the little is my interview for the much.

October 8, 2026Grace Is Capacity

Grace Is Capacity

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:10

In the teaching line of Apostle Joshua Selman on grace.

Reflection

Paul says something that looks like a contradiction: by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain — I worked harder than all of them. Then he adds immediately: yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

So grace is not only pardon. It is capacity. It is the strength that makes the work possible. Paul worked harder than anyone, and he hands all the credit to grace.

There are two errors: using grace as a pillow so you never work, or working without drawing on it. Do the work — but do not take the strength from yourself.

Prayer

Lord, I do not want to use your grace as an excuse for laziness, nor work in my own strength until I break. Give me the grace that is capacity — to rise, to hold on, to do what is beyond me. What I am is you. What I do is you. Thank you for a grace that is not in vain. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

God's grace is not an excuse — it is my capacity to do the work.

October 7, 2026Seek the Kingdom First

Seek the Kingdom First

Scripture: Matthew 6:33

In the teaching line of Myles Munroe on the Kingdom.

Reflection

Jesus was speaking to people anxious about food, drink and clothing — real needs, not luxuries. He does not say those needs do not matter. He reorders them. Seek the Kingdom first, and all the rest will be added to you.

The Kingdom is not only a place in heaven; it is God's government — his way of running things. When that government governs your decisions, provision follows the government.

Most people do it backwards: they chase the things and hope the Kingdom gets added. That is why they are always running. Change the order, and watch what happens.

Prayer

Father, put things back in the right order in my life. I do not want to spend my days chasing what you promised to add. Let your government govern my decisions — in my business, in my home, in my calendar. I seek you first. I trust the rest to follow. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I seek the Kingdom first — the rest is what gets added.

October 6, 2026The Path That Grows Brighter

The Path That Grows Brighter

Scripture: Proverbs 4:18 · Luke 2:52

In the teaching line of John Maxwell on growth.

Reflection

Proverbs compares the path of the righteous to the light of dawn: it shines brighter and brighter until full day. There is no jump in it. It is a climb by small degrees.

Even Jesus grew — in wisdom, in stature, in favor with God and with people. If he went through a process, why would we expect to arrive in one leap?

The person waiting for a big day to change will wait forever. You do not change your life in a day; you change it daily. Today, pick one single thing to improve by one notch — a page read, a habit kept, a person called back.

Prayer

Father, give me patience for the process. When I see no change, remind me that dawn does not become noon in a second. Deliver me from the craving for fast results that makes me abandon good things too early. Make me faithful in the small daily steps, and carry me through to full day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I do not change in a day — I change daily.

A Leader Who Serves

Scripture: Mark 10:42-45

In the teaching line of John Maxwell on leadership.

Reflection

Jesus sets two worlds side by side. In the first, rulers give orders and the great ones make their power felt. In the second — ours — whoever wants to become great must become the servant of all.

This is not only advice about character; it is a definition of power. A title can make people obey; only service makes them follow. Obedience is rented for a season. Influence is bought with what you give.

If people follow you only because you hold the position, you will lose them the day you lose the position. This week, pick one person on your team and carry one of their loads — without telling them.

Prayer

Lord, you who washed your disciples' feet, strip me of the idea that authority means giving orders. Teach me to lead from underneath, not from above. When I want to be served, remind me whom I am following. Give me a servant's heart in a leader's place. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I do not lead by my title — I lead by what I give.

The Prayer That Will Not Quit

Scripture: Luke 18:1 · James 5:16

In the teaching line of E.M. Bounds on prayer.

Reflection

Luke tells us Jesus gave a parable for one precise reason: that people should always pray and not lose heart. So discouragement is prayer's natural enemy. It does not come because God fails to answer; it comes because the answer takes time.

James adds that the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Not when it feels good. When it works. Prayer is labor, and like all labor it produces results through time and repetition.

If you wait for a feeling in order to pray, you will pray rarely. If you pray as a discipline, the feeling will meet you along the way.

Prayer

Father, give me a spirit that will not quit. When I see nothing, hold me in place. When the answer is slow, keep me from concluding that you do not hear. Make prayer my habit, not my emergency reserve. I choose to stay before you until you speak. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I will pray until things change — I am not letting go.

October 3, 2026The Ground Where Grace Lands

The Ground Where Grace Lands

Scripture: James 4:6-10

In the teaching line of Andrew Murray on humility.

Reflection

James says God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Notice carefully — it is not that he prefers the humble. It is that he opposes the other. Pride is not merely a character flaw; it places you in an adversarial position toward God.

Humility does not mean thinking you are worthless. It means you stop managing your reputation and let God manage it. The humble man can be corrected without collapsing, and praised without swelling.

Grace does not climb — it descends. That is why it fills low places. If you want more grace, do not go higher; go lower.

Prayer

Lord, I do not want to spend my life fighting against you. Break the pride hidden in me — the part that defends itself, the part that needs to win, the part that fears looking small. Make me humble before life has to do it. I bow my head today to receive your grace. Lift me in your own time. Amen.

Declaration

I am going lower, because that is where grace flows.

October 2, 2026One Life Replacing Another

One Life Replacing Another

Scripture: Galatians 2:20

In the teaching line of Watchman Nee on the cross and the life of Christ.

Reflection

Paul writes a sentence with no equivalent: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.

That is not a graceful way of saying he improved. It is an exchange. One life ends so another can begin. Many of our struggles come from wanting to improve the old man instead of accepting that he is already dead.

This lifts an enormous pressure. You do not have to find the strength to live a holy life — you have to yield to a life already holy that lives inside you. The question is no longer who will I force myself to become, but who will I let live in me today.

Prayer

Father, I am tired of repairing a man you already put on the cross. I accept the exchange: my life for yours. Live in me today — in how I speak, how I react, what I choose when no one is watching. It is no longer I. It is you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

It is no longer I who live — it is Christ who lives in me.

October 1, 2026Intimacy Before Activity

Intimacy Before Activity

Scripture: John 15:4-5

In the teaching line of Apostle Joshua Selman on intimacy with God.

Reflection

Jesus says something simple and radical: abide in me. He does not say work for me. He does not say produce for me. He says abide. And he adds a line that cuts off every excuse — apart from me you can do nothing.

A branch does not strain to bear fruit. It stays attached, and the fruit comes because life is moving through it. When we reverse the order — when we try to produce before we are connected — we burn out, we run dry, and we blame God for a choice that was ours.

Measure your day by the time spent in his presence, not only by the work you finished. The fruit will follow.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I stop trying to bear fruit in my own strength. Bring me back to the place of the branch. Teach me to abide in you when I am busy, when I am tired, when I feel nothing. I want everything I do to come out of communion, not pressure. Keep me attached, and let your life move through me. Amen.

Declaration

I connect before I produce — fruit is the result, not the goal.

September 30, 2026Thirsty for Him, Not for His Hand

Thirsty for Him, Not for His Hand

Scripture: Psalm 42:1-2

In the teaching line of A.W. Tozer on the thirst for God.

Reflection

The psalmist compares the soul to a deer crying out for water. That is not a picture of comfort; it is a picture of survival. The animal is not looking for something pleasant — it is looking for what keeps it alive.

There is a difference between thirsting for what God gives and thirsting for God. The first can be satisfied with a blessing. The second is satisfied with nothing less than him. Many of our prayers are a list of needs. Leave a space in your morning where you ask for nothing — where you simply stay.

The one who seeks God's presence for its own sake receives his hand as well. The one who seeks only his hand can go through a whole life without ever knowing his face.

Prayer

Father, I confess that I often come to you for what I need more than for you. Change my thirst. Put in me a desire for your presence stronger than my desire for your answers. I do not want to know things about you — I want to know you. Call me closer, and give me the courage to come. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I will not settle for his blessings — it is his face I am after.

What Is Still Sleeping in You

Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:6 · Ecclesiastes 3:11

Reflection

Paul tells Timothy something that should stop us: stir up the gift that is in you. Not ask for another gift. Stir up the one already there. So Timothy was carrying something that was dimming — not because it had left, but because nobody was breathing on it.

Many people wait for God to send something new, while what he deposited in them years ago is still waiting. Ecclesiastes says God set eternity in the human heart — there is a depth in you wider than the life you are currently living.

Potential is what you are able to do and have not yet done. It is worth nothing while it stays in the shell. Today, name one thing you know you can do and have never started. Start it.

Prayer

Lord, I do not want to die with the treasure you placed in me still sealed. Stir the fire. Wake up what has been sleeping. Break the fear, the laziness, and the false humility that makes me say this is not for me when you are the one who put it there. Give me the discipline to develop what you entrusted to me, and the opportunity to use it. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

What God placed in me will come out — it will not die with me.

You Are Not an Accident

Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 · Ephesians 2:10

In the teaching line of Myles Munroe on purpose.

Reflection

Something shifts in a person the day he understands he did not arrive here by chance. Jeremiah tells us God has a plan — he knows it, he thought it, he settled it before we had a name. And Paul adds in Ephesians that we are his workmanship, shaped for good works he prepared in advance.

That means your purpose is not something you invent. It is something you discover. The person who does not know what he was made for will spend his life trying everything and be satisfied with nothing. The person who knows his purpose carries a calm — he no longer has to chase every open door.

Today, don't ask God what to do. Ask him why he made you. That one answer settles many others.

Prayer

Father, I stand before you today acknowledging that you thought of me before I existed. You had a reason. You had a plan. Forgive me for the time I spent chasing things you never called me to. Open my eyes to what you shaped me for. Give me courage to release what is not mine, and clarity to step into what is. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Declaration

I am not an accident — I am a decision God made.

7 Days of Spiritual Leadership

A devotional series for leaders growing in Christ

Over 7 days, we look at 7 pillars that build a leader after God's own heart — the call, service, humility, vision, integrity, perseverance, and multiplication. Each day includes a verse, a reflection, a question for meditation, and a prayer.

Day 1

The Call

So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.

Exodus 3:10

Reflection

Leadership does not begin with a title; it begins with a call. Moses did not feel qualified — he was afraid and full of excuses. But God did not call him because he was perfect; God called him because God had a plan. Your qualification is God's presence: "I am sending you." Before you chase a position, listen for the voice that calls you. A leader who knows who sent them will not be easily discouraged when the road gets hard.

Meditation

What call has God placed on your heart that you have been avoiding out of fear?

Prayer

Lord, give me ears to hear Your call and courage to answer. It is not my own strength, but Your presence that sends me. Amen.

Day 2

The Heart of a Servant

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant... For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Mark 10:43, 45

Reflection

In the world, people climb over others to rise. In God's Kingdom it is the reverse: you go down to serve, and that is how you rise. Jesus, the Master, washed His disciples' feet. True authority is not found in commanding; it is found in serving. When your team sees you carry their burdens too, they will follow you — not because they are forced to, but because they see Christ in you.

Meditation

Whom can you serve today expecting nothing in return?

Prayer

Jesus, You who washed the disciples' feet, teach me to lead with a towel in my hand, not a rod. Amen.

Day 3

Humility

Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

1 Peter 5:5-6

Reflection

Pride is the trap that brings down the most leaders. It makes you forget that God gave you everything you have. Humility does not mean thinking you are worthless; it means knowing exactly who you are before God — no more, no less. When you humble yourself under God's hand, He chooses the time and way to lift you. Do not promote yourself; let God do it. What He lifts up, no one can pull down.

Meditation

Where is pride trying to take the place that belongs to God in your life?

Prayer

Father, strip me of pride and clothe me with humility. Let all that I am serve Your glory, not my own name. Amen.

Day 4

Vision

Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

Reflection

A leader without vision is a captain without a compass. The vision is not only your dream — it is God's revelation of where He wants to lead His people. The leader's job is to receive the vision in God's presence, then make it clear so others can see it too. When people see where they are going and why, they find strength to walk. Spend time in God's presence before you spend time in meetings; vision is born in secret before it speaks in public.

Meditation

Can the people following you repeat the vision in their own words?

Prayer

Lord, show me what You see, and give me words to help others see it too. Do not let me walk without Your direction. Amen.

Day 5

Integrity

And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.

Psalm 78:72

Reflection

God gave David two things: an upright heart and skillful hands. Skill without character is a danger; character without skill is a frustration. God wants both. Integrity means you are the same person when no one is watching as when everyone is. That is what builds trust, and trust is the foundation of all leadership. A leader with integrity never has to remember which lie he told, because he told none.

Meditation

Is there an area of your life that calls for more honesty today?

Prayer

God, make my heart upright and train my hands with skill. Let my private life and public life be one and the same. Amen.

Day 6

Perseverance

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

James 1:2-4

Reflection

No leader grows without trials. Trial is the classroom where character is formed. What could crush you, if you leave it in God's hands, is the very thing that can make you strong. Do not rush to find the easier road; let perseverance finish its work in you. A leader who jumps away from every difficulty will never reach maturity. Hold firm — it is not only in good times that God works, but in the hard ones too.

Meditation

What lesson might God be teaching you in a difficulty you are walking through now?

Prayer

Lord, in the hard times, hold my hand. Let this trial make me stronger, not bitter. Finish Your work in me. Amen.

Day 7

Multiplication

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

2 Timothy 2:2

Reflection

A leader's true success is not measured by what he does alone, but by what he leaves behind in others. Paul saw four generations in a single verse: himself, Timothy, the reliable people, and those they would teach. If everything collapses when you are gone, you did not build leadership, you built dependence. Invest in people. Train leaders. A flame that lights another flame loses nothing — it reproduces itself. That is how a ministry and a vision continue far beyond one life.

Meditation

Into whom are you investing now so they can lead after you?

Prayer

Father, give me a heart that longs to see others grow higher than me. Let what You have placed in me continue into the next generations. Amen.

Leadership after God is a journey, not a destination. Keep growing in the call, in service, in humility, in vision, in integrity, in perseverance, and in multiplication. Remember: you are not doing the work alone — it is God who works in you and through you.
